The podruchnik is an auxiliary tool for iconographers and miniaturists. This is a special “bench” on which you can comfortably place your hand with the brush, rather than holding it in the air. In addition, the underhand does not constantly touch the surface of the board, which is especially important for gold-plated boards, as a consequence, the gold surface is not injured and does not stain.
